Dwyane Wade wants the world to know that he loves Gabrielle Union for sticking by his side through tougher times.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the Miami Heat basketball player appeared to have addressed his cheating ways when he shouted the Mary Jane actress as his "Woman Crush Wednesday. (Every Wednesday, Instagram users post pictures of women who they have crushed on.)

"My #WCW my #beautifulblackqueen...My Life mistakes gave me you and my life mistakes almost made me lose you but your love has conquered all and I hope to spend the rest of my life with you," Wade wrote with an image of Union.

Wade has endured scrutiny in the media after admitting to having a child with another woman while him and Union were on a break. According to Wade, the baby, whose name is Xavier Zechariah Wade was conceived with his baby mama Aja Metoyer during a time of love.

"In our time apart, in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son who was born healthy," Wade said at the time when the news first broke.

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Union opened up about the support she's received since announcing her engagement.

"For everyone who's kind of given up, and is maybe a little older and it's the second time around, I think everyone kind of feels like it's their wedding and we're all in this together," she explained.

Wade and Union have already settled on their wedding date, but it will be a private ceremony in front of only close family and friends.
