Though rumors have swirled that Lupita Nyong'o and Jared Leto are a couple, a new report has indicated that she actually has a boyfriend who is very low-key.

According to reports when Nyong'o arrived to an appearance of Live With Kelly & Michael Monday, a day after she took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, she was spotted arriving alongside Somali musician K'naan.

K'naan had a huge hit, Waving Flag, that came out in 2010 and he and Nyong'o have been supporting each other's careers for quite some time.

Back in February, she was reportedly spotted at his show at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeels and he also also been atttending pre-awards events with Nyong'o. He even uploaded a recent Instagram picture with the actress.

In these photos, K'naan is seen hugging Nyong'o and also holding her Oscar trophy, something she has claimed that she doesn't let many people touch.

Since debuting in her Oscar-winning role in 12 Years a Slave, Nyong'o has become a household name.

As a young girl of Kenyan descent and born in Mexico City, she admitted that she wished she "would wake up lighter skinned."

"I too remember a time when I would turn on the TV and only see pale skin. I got teased and taunted about my night shaded skin. And my one prayer to God, the miracle worker, was that I would wake up lighter skinned," she said as she accepted her award for Best Breakthrough Performance at the annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, hosted by Essence magazine.

"The morning would come and I would be so excited about seeing my new skin that I would refuse to look down at myself before I was in front of a mirror, because I wanted to see my fair face first."
