Some people like to live drama free, and The Mentalist's J.J. LaRoche is one of those people.

Unfortunately for LaRoche (Pruitt Taylor Vince), Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and his friends will come calling to collect on an old debt, and helping Jane always comes with a healthy dose of chaos (watch a sneak peek here).

Following the death of Oscar Ardeiles (David Norona), Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) and Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) will jump head first into their new investigation during "Black Helicopters." The CBI's former head of Internal Affairs was once a royal pain in the rear for Lisbon's (Robin Tunney) team, but now Van Pelt and Rigsby will be turning to him for aid in their pursuit of whoever is keeping tabs on old CBI agents.

In the meantime, Jane and Lisbon have their own case to deal with when the body of a U.S. attorney pops up south of the boarder. Considering there was no record of her ever leaving the States, the FBI must not only determine who killed her, but also how she slipped out of the country unnoticed.

The Mentalist will return from its long winter hiatus on March 9 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Click here to see episode stills from "Black Helicopters."
