Juan Pablo Galavis has been deemed the "worst Bachelor ever" and following Monday night's season finale the negative remarks continue.

The final two contestants on season 18 of ABC's The Bachelor were pediatric nurse Nikki Ferrell, 26, and hairstylist Clare Crawley, 32. Galavis, a former Venezuelan soccer player and single father, chose Ferrell.

"I lost respect for you," Crawley told him after she didn't receive the final rose. "I thought I knew what kind of man you were. What you just made me go through - I would never want my children having a father like you."

Galavis, who seemed completely unbothered by Crawley's insult, offered the final rose to Ferrell. Although Galavis didn't propose to his final contestant as is intended, Ferrell accepted his proposition to continue dating.

The 32-year-old joins the list of several other Bachelors who didn't propose during the finale, including Alex Michel in season one, Bob Guiney in season four, Jesse Palmer in season five, Charlie O'Connell in season seven, Travis Stork in season eight and Lorenzo Borghese in season nine. In season 11, Brad Womack didn't even continue dating either one of the final two contestants.

Yet, many fans of the show were outraged by Galavis and took to social media to insult the reality star, including actress Kirstie Alley.

"He's says I'm honest like a broken record.. which means he's a colossal liar," she tweeted. "I HATE THIS A--HOLE!!! He is a jerk!!!! STRAIGHT UP!!"

Others found him to be rude, condescending, self-centered and manipulative throughout the entire season.

Yet, Galavis didn't only make headlines this season for the way he treated the contestants. He also received flak for tweeting a joke that used the word "retard" as well as saying that ABC shouldn't have a gay or bisexual bachelor using the worst "pervert" in his explanation.

He later defended the controversial joke tweeting, "In Venezuela the R word is USED commonly and by NO means is to OFFEND anyone... #Relax #DifferentCulture #Respect."

As for his comment on the gay community, Galavis attempted to redeem himself with a Facebook post.

"The comment was taken out of context," he wrote in January. "If you listen to the entire interview, there's nothing but respect for Gay people and their families."
