When Scandal returns, it looks like there wil be some answers about who it was that Jake shot.

Scandal Getting More Intense With Each Episode?

The most recent episode ended with a gunshot, but according to Scott Foley, who plays Jake, here is no word on who the victim was or if that person is dead.

"It's safe to say someone gets shot," Foley told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't know about killed, but I think it's safe to say someone gets shot. I will not say that someone gets killed."

Foley also revealed that his character will develop a darker storyline with his inability to handle his new job.

"His transition to Command- though a job that he wanted- is one he never understood," Foley said. "That happens with a lot of us when we finally get something we want and realize that it's so much more than we can handle. Jake is doing a good job so far of handling it and he wants to do it in a different way."

ABC also posted photos of the next episode that display more of the intense drama, some including Olivia having discussions inside the office, and President Fitzgerald Grant giving a speech.

It also looks like more details could be revealed about Sally's murdering her husband. She had planned to finally come clean in the last episode, but after Olivia discovered Cyrus' role in the cover-up and got him to throw the debate to save Fitz's re-election, Sally changed her mind. The aftermath of this could be revealed in the new episode.
