As fans eagerly await the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in theaters next month, new spoilers have emerged which seem to point at yet another significant character death in the film .

One Character Will Die in 'The Winter Soldier'?

In an interview March 13 with Newsarama, Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the film, revealed that his contract with Marvel is for nine total films, opening more speculation that the film will follow the plot in the comic books which saw Barnes killing his old pal Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and then taking over as the new Captain America.

According to K Drama Starz, Evans only signed a six-picture deal when he originally signed on to his role. The extra films attached to Stan's role seem to significantly point toward the film story eventually following the same way as the comics.

Chris Evans Dishes On Relationship Between Steve Rogers and Falcon?

It was also previously reported that Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury could also die in the film, following a trailer that featured Steve Rogers saying the phrase "Fury's last words."

The plot of the film features Steve Rogers trying to adjust to a modern-day life in Washington D.C., as he fights powerful enemies. Soon he will be forced to recruit the help of other Avengers, including Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and newcomer Falcon (Anthony Mackie), when he is faced not only with a powerful enemy in The Winter Soldier, but from within S.H.I.E.L.D. as well.

The anticipation surrounding the film has been extremely high, and according to Moviefone, the movie is on track to rake in between $80 and $85 million its opening weekend.

Back in January, comic book writer Ed Brubaker even called the film one of the best he'd ever seen.

""It's the best movie that Marvel has ever made. The stuff I've seen from it, it also has two of the best fight scenes I've ever seen on film," he said.

"It's going to be amazing. It's gonna make a billion dollars. I got to go and be on set for a while and watch them film and stuff. It was just amazing. I couldn't be happier with how it came out," he added.
