As fans gear up for series finale episode of How I Met Your Mother in just two weeks' time, the cast has been slowly revealing some spoilers about how the episode will play out.

Ted and Robin Rekindle Their Relationship in Series Finale?

Appearing at the PaleyFest celebration March 15, cast members Alyson Hannigan, Josh Radnor and Cristin Milioti, as well as creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, spilled a few details about what fans can expect when the shows airs its final hour of episodes March 31.

In an interview with Yahoo! TV, Hanigan, Radnor and Milioti all described the finale in three words, and each chose similar ones to detail how the series would end.

Mother's Name Not Being Revealed Until Final Episode?

"Hilarious...bittersweet...and I thin, kind of perfect," Radnor said. "Although can you say kind of and perfect? It's either perfect or it isn't. I loved it. I thought it was great. That's all."

Hannigan semi-echoed Radnor's comments, calling the finale "Funny, touching and informative" while Milioti played more coy and simply called it "beautiful."

While at the celebration, the actors and creators all sat down at a panel to answer fan questions as well, and while they didn't give too much away, they did address two popular theories that have been swirling among fans for some time.

A theory that the Mother's death would be revealed in the series finale has been swirling for most of the show's existence, and the chatter about it hasn't died down as the last episodes have all aired. Without giving anything too detailed away, Thomas did address the show's ending and say that it was different.

"It's surprising. It's a curve ball and really strange for a sitcom on Monday nights on TV. Stay tned for two weeks and we'll see what happens," he said.

A second theory fans have tossed around has been that Robin and Barney actually do not get married in the series finale, something that received more fuel when CBS released official photos for the finale episode. Neither Barney or Robin's left hands are ever visible in the photos, nor do they show wedding rings.

However, via a video conference appearance, Neil Patrick Harris assured fans that the couple will indeed get married, by answering a question about some of his favorite moments from filming the show.

"Getting to say my vows to Robin Scherbatsky was a highlight," he said.

The How I Met Your Mother series finale airs March 31 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
