Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald have called it quits.

The Twilight actress and the American Idol season 10 alum announced their separation after more than two years of marriage, People reported.
"After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage. They have been living separately for the past six months due to work obligations," the actress' rep told the magazine.

"They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I'm Not Falling, releasing in 2014. They remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together."
The couple, who met at the Red Riding Hood premiere in March 2011, tied the knot shortly afterwards in October 2011 in a Malibu ceremony.
The 25-year-old actress previously spoke about her attempt to juggle her marriage and work in Hollywood.
"It's important to communicate and stay on the same page," she told People. "With what we do for a living, it's important we make each other know they come first."
She also opened up to E! News last January and revealed that the couple tried to spend as much time together as possible. Reed said she attended many of his shows on tour and he accompanied her to promotional events for her films.
The couple has yet to announce anything on their social media accounts.
