It looks like Miriam Weeks, the student at Duke University who was recently outed for doing porn, is receiving some criticism not only from other students, but from sites who appear to have knowledge in the X-rated business.

Miriam Weeks Wants Her Family Left Alone?

According to Short and Sweet NYC, Weeks is apparently too young and naive to realize what she's doing. She's 18-years-old and although she may have spoken boldly to Huff Post on her decision to do porn, the site's writer- who has apparently had more experience in adult entertainment- claims that there's more to the situation than Weeks realizes.

"I understand Knox is an intelligent and well spoke individual, a logophile, but she knows nothing of the gravity of what she's doing," Short and Sweet wrote on March 20. "Being a bit older than her and possessing the experiences and wisdom that porn is for adults and there should be boundaries and restrictions, I say we all need to focus on the fact that Knox is just a young girl lashing out due to boredom."

Miriam Weeks Becomes A Stripper?

Other people involved in porn have taken their opinions to Twitter to reveal their true feelings on the Weeks ordeal, which seem pretty negative.

On March 20, Jenna J Ross wrote, "As an industry we have the right to choose who speaks for us... & it sure as hell shouldn't be Belle Knox..I say James Deen for President!"

James Deen is also a porn actor.

On March 20, Dana DeArmond wrote, "Ooh this Belle Knox thing got everybody in a tizzy. Don't you wish you thought of pretending to go to college to get press too?"

Weeks allegedly  turned to porn to pay her tuition at Duke University. She reportedly has appeared in 30 films and earns between $1,500 to $2,000 per adult film shoot, according to the New York Daily News.

Since she was outed by a fellow student earlier this month, she went public with her involvement in the adult film industry and has made appearances on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight and ABC's The View.

In an interview oh The View on March 17,2014 Weeks told the female hosts that making adult movies left her feeling empowered.

"For  centuries, sex workers have been the untouchables of society. I'm sick of it, I'm taking a stand against it," she said.

Weeks also said she has received death threats since she was outed as a porn star but that she felt officials at Duke University were making her feel safe and supported as a student.
