Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) attempts to take over as the new CEO of Forrester Creations will be met with strong resistance on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Katie's Fears Resurface When Brooke and Ridge Start Working Together

Not only will Ridge face resistance from current CEO Rick (Jacob Young), but he will have to face-off against Rick's wife, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey), and his own former wife, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) as well.

As Rick fights to keep his position, he will fight dirty in an effort to remind Ridge that while he carries the name Forrester, he is in fact not one biologically.

Tension Between Maya And Oliver?

"I know you haven't forgotten you're just a Marone," Rick says in a preview clip for the Wednesday, April 2 episode. "You're not a Forrester."

Caroline will also confront Ridge in an effort to protect her husband's job.

"You taking over this company from Rick is not an option for you, ok?" she says.

However, Brooke may place the biggest hurdle in Ridge's way by using her influence over Eric.

"Eric! I need to speak to you alone," she says in the clip.

She and Eric did marry once and Rick is actually their son, so she may try to use that to her advantage in an effort to keep Rick's job. She certainly doesn't want Ridge to take over the company after his recent betrayal by choosing to be with her sister, Katie (Heather Tom) over her. Not only would having to report to him be unbearable for her, but her job could be at risk as well if Katie and Ridge decide to scheme against her. As long as Rick retains his CEO title, her job security is safe.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
