It looks like the alleged relationship between Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor is getting even more serious since it was reported that the actress met her rumored boyfriend's grandmother.

Katrina Kaif Skipping Out On Cannes Film Festival?

On Wednesday, Masala mentioned a quote from a source who said that Kapoor and his grandma have a strong relationship with each other, which is why it was important that she and Kaif meet.

"Looks like Ranbir wants to get the final stamp of endorsement on Katrina from his grandmother, Mrs. Krishna Kapoor. He's extremely close to her and values her opinion tremendously," a source was quoted in a tabloid.

The site then wrote that Kaif and Kapoor drove to Chembur to have a family dinner.

There was a recent report that the actors were engaged and set up for a wedding in 2015, but Hindustan Times reported that Kaif has denied those rumors, saying that she and Kapoor do not have any plans to tie the knot anytime soon.

"I don't know about this, it has come in media today," Kaif said. "It is news to me as I got to know when someone sent me a message about this."

"But there is no such thing," Kaif added. "If there is something like that happening, I will be the first one to tell you all about it. But, there are no such plans as yet."

Even though there might not be any wedding plans as of now, Kaif's quote does create a bit of a possibility that it could happen sometime in the near future.
