Ukranian model Valeria Lukyanova, also known as "Human Barbie," recently made an appearance in GQ where more discoveries were found about her, one of them being that she is not actually striving to be the living doll that she makes herself out to be.

Human Barbie's Lifestyle Has Positive Benefits?

On Thursday, GQ Editor in Chief Michael Idov answered audience's questions about Lukyanova on Reddit where someone asked why the model doesn't just refer to herself as "Barbie." Apparently it's because she does not want to be presented that way despite her striking appearance.

"Ah, but the 'Barbie' thing is not even her idea," Idov wrote. "She doesn't even like being called that. She is a time-traveling space entity named Amatue who JUST HAPPENS to look like Barbie."

Human Barbie Not 'Hungry At All?'

Idov also mentioned that he asked Lukyanova what she does to her skin to make it look so plastic. It turns out that there's a fairly simple answer to this.

"She just slathers herself with an insane amount of lotion and powder," Idov wrote. "She re-applied powder numerous times while we were talking, to keep up that perfectly matte look. My guess is if you slap her on the back, a big white cloud is going to rise off her."

The Editor in Chief also said that he wanted to ask her more questions that relate to her Barbie persona, but he couldn't do it because being Barbie is not the model's thing at all.

"Her doll-like appearance seems incidental- though to what, it's hard to say," Idov wrote. "All she wants to talk about is her own brand of New Agey 21st dimension space-time-traveling-psychic-mutant weirdness."
