Considering that the day is supposed to be about taking care of the world and keeping it safe and healthy, famous names have mentioned comments in their tweets about how they feel about this day.

The Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo posted a few tweets on his page regarding the day, with intricate details.

"Happy Earth Day all you beautiful Brothers and Sisters of this great, glorious, majestic, watery, blue, green and gleaming Mother Earth," he wrote.

The actor also posted a link from Huff Post Live where he wrote, "It's Earth Day and our most precious resource is in danger. Let's do something about it. #HappyEarthDay."

Ellen DeGeneres also took to Twitter where she advertised products that are apparently helpful towards the environment.
