Channing Tatum's highly anticipated flick "Magic Mike" is set to debut June 29. Tatum, who plays a stripper in the film, revealed his own stripper past on the TODAY show.

He was 18 when he was stripping at a club, and admitted that it was a crazy time. "Man.. it was a crazy time in my life," he said "I'm not ashamed of it.. but I don't know if I'm ... not proud of it. It was definitely a crazy part of my life.. and I survived it."

Tatum was so determined to make it on his own and not have to rely on his parents.
He also went on to say that his parents were unaware of his stripper job. He told TODAY: "They never knew.. I never told them. I was like, 'Ah, you know, I'm just working at this other job over here, over there...' But my dad ended up having to find out when I did ['The Ellen DeGeneres Show']. I gave Ellen a lap dance."
After the chat with Today's hosts Al Roker and Ann Curry, Tatum was interrupted by his co-star Joe Manganiello showed off some of his stripper moves, which led to Tatum himslef leading a flash mob of dancers wearing "Magic Mike" tops to dance on Rockefeller Plaza.
