The competition has been fierce as the final legs of The Amazing Race continue, but the final three teams could encounter a seemingly impossible task when they arrive back in the U.S.

Alliances Up The Level Of Competition?

Though very few details are being released, CBS has been teasing a final task for the teams when they head to Las Vegas that will involve learning "The Art of Escape," in a task designed by none other than master illusionist David Copperfield.

In an official photo released by CBS, Copperfield and show host Phil Keoghan are seen standing together with the MGM Grand in the background, as well as what looks like a burning structure, with fire fighters on standby.

'Justice Will Be Served' To Brenchel?

"David created the illusion the final teams take part in during their road block. Teams have to master 'The art of escape,'" the photo is captioned.

Copperfield also stopped by CBS affiliate news station KCLA 9 on May 1 to talk about the task he designed, and the pressures he faced to design a task that was suitable for the show.

"Normally we have a couple of years to work on each illusion or each escape that we're doing, but we only had two months to do this," Copperfield said. "Which is really hard! And it had to be something we could teach them very quickly, and something that they could master quickly, and could be done a repeated amount of times."

The task, which could involve the teams trying to escape something that is burning, is one Copperfield promises will still bring some tension as the teams fight to cross the finish line first.

"Things don't go exactly as planned, you get to see a lot of tensions," Copperfield teased. "Cameras everywhere, you get to see them really sweat, and get to challenge them to save time and save their lives."

Though nothing has been confirmed, it was rumored even before the season began that the final three teams who could partake in the challenge are Father/Son Cancer Survivors Dave and Connor O'Leary, Big Brother Newlyweds Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly and Country Singers Jen Wayne and Caroline Cutbirth.

They and Afghani Cousins Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, as well as Cowboy Brothers Jet and Cord McCoy, are the remaining teams in the race.
