Kate Mara Set To Return As 'Different Character'?

While the cast has been qute tight-lipped and careful about giving away spoilers for the next season of House of Cards, there have been a few slips every now and then.

Kevin Spacey, who plays the show's vile and manipulative protagonist, suggested that Frank's aspirations went well beyond the presidency. The actor spoke to E!Online about the show on April 30. When the publication asked him about what would satisfy Frank's political aspirations the actor suggested that he couldn't just stop at the highest office in the United States.

"Pope?" he joked. "The presidency is one thing, but how about Pope Francis?"

The actor dished about how Frank was not going to have a change of heart and conscience any time soon and as the show ravels it will mostly be an exercise in "how dark that well is." Spacey suggested that he and the show's writer-producer Beau Willimon and producer David Fincher, they had a "desire to see just how dark that well is and how deep does it go. We have miles to go before we sleep."

The storyline for the show will continue to be based in Maryland. After some pretty tough negotiations the producers managed to get permission from the state government to allow them to film. But the producers took a bit of a hit with tax credict cuts which might affect the show's budget a bit.

While Robin Wright might have jokingly suggested that she hoped President Barack Obama guest star on the show, it could might well even happen. The actress had suggested that she would request Obama at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
