As the premiere of the second season of Masters of Sex is only two months away, Showtime is busy with promoting the show.

Bill Confesses His Love To Virginia In New Preview VIDEO For Season 2?

On May 13, the network posted a new promo still featuring Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) to help build the anticipation of fans for season 2 on Twitter. Masters looks older in the image, wearing a pair of round glasses, dressed formally in a crisp white shirt and black bow tie.

Masters seems to have aged considerably and that might be attributed to the fact the next season will start after a time jump. In March, show creator Michelle Ashford had revealed that while the season 2 will take off from the finale of the first season but they would follow that with a time jump to pick up pace.

Season 2 Plot Reveals Ahead of Summer Premiere; Less Sex More Drama? 

"We make a time jump in season 2, it starts very much right on the heels of where season 1 ended but then we do make a time jump during the season that allows us to get further down the road," she said.

But as is evident from the photo, Masters doesn't look dramatically different and unlike most other shows, Ashford also revealed that she was not a big fan of sudden makeovers with new seasons.

The touch of seniority does lend to a new role he will be taking on in the next season, that of a father. But that does not mean he will be good at parenting. Sheen spoke to the HitFlix about how his character would take to being a dad. When he was asked if Bill would make for a good father, Sheen quipped: "I don't think he will be winning any awards."

Season 2 of Masters of Sex returns to Showtime on July 13.
