The news of yet another engagement is not making everyone happy on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Brooke Tells Ridge She Is Engaged

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Bill (Don Diamont) have officially announced their intentions to marry, but their exes aren't too keen on the idea -- and will do whatever it takes to stop the nuptials from occurring.

For Bill, this means a visit from Quinn (Rena Sofer), who will try to now blackmail him into sleeping with her again. After he refuses to do so, however, she will try and taunt him with Brooke's history -- and the fact that her husbands never stick around for very long.

Quinn Blackmails Bill Into Giving Wyatt The Spencer Name

"You're a smart man, Bill. Don't be the fool at thinking you're going to be the exception," she says to him in a preview clip for the Tuesday, May 20 episode. "There are no exceptions where Brooke is concerned."

Bill will likely disagree with Quinn because he loves Brooke, and will eventually find a way to get her out of his office, but she won't be the only visitor he gets about the news. Brooke's ex, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will also pay him a visit -- to return the ring he gave to Brooke mere hours before and tell him the engagement is off.

The two will begin to fight once again, and Ridge will explain exactly why he feels the way he does about Bill marrying his ex-wife.

"No woman's going to want you permanently, and no man is going to want you looking after his son," Ridge says.

Before heading over to Bill, though, Ridge will try and explain himself to Brooke first -- though he won't find much success there either.

"I can't let you marry Bill Spencer," he says.

The efforts of both Quinn and Ridge could indeed fail, but it won't stop them from continuing to try and break the newly-engaged couple up.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
