Elliot Rodger, Santa Barbara Shooting: Student Reveals She Heard 'A Large Crash' & How She Survived The Tragic Incident? [VIDEO]
After a tragic shooting spree took place in Isla Vista near University of California Santa Barbara, sorority women revealed how they survived the incident and what they experienced.
On Saturday, Hollywood Life reported that the suspect named Elliot Rodger, who allegedly killed six people and injured seven others, had his first targets from the women in the Alpha Phi sorority house. It turns out that the girls survived mainly because they didn't answer the door.
"He [Elliot] banged on the door, but no one opened the door so he just drove off and opened fire everywhere," a UCSB student said. "Then he crashed his car on Del Playa Drive, which is when the police arrived."
"We were in the living room and we heard a large crash," the student continued. "I thought someone crashed into one of the cars on our driveway it was so loud."
"The shooter crashed into another car across the street from our house," she added. "There were about 10 minutes between when shots were fired and the crash."
The student also mentioned that she and others tried to help whoever was in danger until they saw the police.
"We ran out to help whatever was going on to help the person in the car accident, but one we got into the street, we were about 20 feet from the car and there was a police officer there," she said. "The first thing we saw was a guy was laying face down and there was blood around him. We thought he was dead, but then we thought we saw him breathing. But later there was a yellow body bag on him."
