As rumors of season 3 of House of Cards possibly being the last one have surfaced, Kevin Spacey talked about how long the show might last for in a recent interview.

In an interview with BBC UK dated June 8, the actor spoke about addressed rumors about him playing the villain in the next James Bond flick, his new documentary, NOW: In the Wings on a World Stage and his current tour for Clarence Darrow.

The actor also slipped in a few details about the upcoming season of House of CardsEarlier last month, Beau Willimon spoke about various plot twists, Frank's (Kevin Spacey) motivations and character storylines in season 2. Interestingly enough a fan also posed a question about the length of the Netflix series which is adapted from the original BBC show. The British original lasted for only three seasons which prompted the question. Willimon was obviously tight-lipped, simply stating, "I couldn't possibly comment."

When Spacey was asked how long the show might last for, he suggested he had "no idea" while saying that he was "enjoying it very much."

He want on to add that considering, the audiences were also thoroughly enjoying it, meant it would enjoy a long life.

"It seems that audiences are as well, so you know, I see no reason why it can't go on for a while," he said.

The third season of House of Cards will film in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
