Kevin Spacey Says Show Will 'Go On For A While' Amid Rumors That This Might Be The Last Chapter?

In the last season Doug was hit on the head with a rock and left for dead. Doug is Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) right hand man and also plays Rachel's lover on the show. He was also known to manipulate her. Most viewers were left wondering if this was the end of his character on the show.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Kelly revealed that even he wasn't sure if he was returning on the show.

"I don't know -- they haven't officially said," Kelly said. "And with television contracts, as an actor, when you sign those contracts you sign for a long time. So technically they still own me, but I don't know yet."

So it seems like there is a decent chance that he might be coming back as his contract is still on and Kelly has also been desperately trying to find out.

"I've tried a lot [to find out], are you kidding me?" he said. "I wanna know! You go to the writers' room and there's black tarps over everything. You don't get to know anything."

Kelly is nervous about how things might pan out and while he would love his story arc to continue he is also prepared for the end.

"I have my fingers crossed," he said. "It's my best job I've ever had and the greatest people I've ever worked with. We can be hopeful but if not, it was an incredible job."

The third season of House of Cards will film in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
