People all over the world have read Fifty Shades of Grey, but one person who didn't seems to be Dakota Johnson's father, actor Don Johnson. Dakota will star in the highly anticipated film adaptation as the naive Anastasia Steele, but her dad thinks it will only be a "blip" in her career.

"I don't know anything about it," Don told The Huffington Post about the book Fifty Shades of Grey. "... [And] this isn't something I would go out and buy and read anyways. This isn't on my bucket list. I read The Story Of O in the sixties so I think I'm up to speed."

Dakota, who starred in the Fox TV show Ben and Kate, is the daughter of the famous Miami Vice actor and actress Melanie Griffith. Griffith just filed for divorce from actor Antonio Banderas.

Although Don hasn't read the steamy series, he was confident that it wouldn't pigeon hole his daughter's career in any shape or form. "I can tell you this: Dakota is a gifted, gifted actress," he said. "And this will be a blip in a long line of parts where she kills it. She is the authentic article and I am exceedingly proud of her."

Fifty Shades of Grey is scheduled to come out around Valentine's Day 2015 after finding their Anastasia in Dakota and their Christian Grey in Jamie Dornan.
