If Beyhive stans have been wondering why Beyoncé has never made an appearance on Wendy Williams' popular talk show, they could now have an answer.

Wendy Williams Slams 'Disgraceful' Mama Joyce Of 'RHOA'

Vintage audio from back in 2000 has just resurfaced and gives fans a listen of Beyoncé reaching her boiling point with the then radio host. At the time, Beyoncé was in her Destiny Child days and dished on the changes the girl group was going through with new member Michelle Williams. There was lots of hype around two former members, Latavia Robertson and LeToya Luckett mysteriously leaving the group.

Beyoncé said, "It's really old. We're kinda off of that now. We've sold six million records since then. We don't really discuss any of the old rumors. We're just happy now that we were able to move on with the members and we were still successful."

Never one to hold her tongue, Wendy pointed out that Beyoncé seems to be the lead artist while the other ladies are her background singers. So she suggested Beyoncé kick off a solo career.

"No disrespect to the other girls. But we see how things are shaping up. You guys are on TV, the camera stays on you, you get the hottest [things], the girls get the leftovers."

Beyoncé clarified that she is the lead singer and referenced other hot girl groups at the time like SWV. She added that she wasn't ready to go solo because of her loyalty to Destiny Child fans and her group mate Kelly Rowland. She also said that they were "vocally stronger" than ever before.

"Now all of the girls can sing. Which hasn't always been the case."

Still, Wendy insisted on calling the group Beyoncé & The Girls, which the Countdown singer had an issue with.

"Can you please not call us Beyoncé and The Girls? That's an insult to Michelle and Kelly."

Rowland chimed in and reiterated that Beyoncé was the lead singer of the group.
