NCIS: Los Angeles premiere date has been announced, and the series will return to CBS at a new day and time this September.

Nate Getz To Return to 'NCIS: LA' In Season 6? Execs Hint At Peter Cambor Visit

Instead of following their NCIS brethren at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesdays, NCIS: LA relinquished that time slot to NCIS: New Orleans and will now take up residence at the 10 p.m. ET slot on Mondays. The first episode of season 6 will air on Sept. 29 following a new CBS drama titled Scorpion.

The drama now has the chance to take advantage of the later hour and spin some darker tales. While there has been no official announcement regarding a more sinister fare for season 6, Miguel Ferrer (Granger) hinted at this possibility back in May.

"I'm assuming you've already heard about our new night and time," Ferrer tweeted. "Both great, especially time. You'll see what I mean."

When Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Co. do hit the small screen once more, the team will be in unprecedented danger. Season 5 concluded with a major cliffhanger, and the previously filmed premiere will pick up as Callen and Sam (LL Cool J) continue to fight for their lives on a bomb-laden submarine.

Unfortunately, it looks like the situation will only get worse when the tiny craft begins to take on water (see photos here).
