It looks as though Heather Dubrow's husband Terry is doing his best to defend his marriage while, of course, promoting his new reality television show at the same time.

Terry is hitting back at reports that suggest his marriage is in crisis, admitting that while the couple does fight at times, most of their on-screen drama is to help generate ratings for their show, Real Housewives of Orange County.

"If there isn't some bickering in a marriage, the couple is either not paying attention to each other or lying about it," Terry told Radar Online, while defending his marriage to Heather.

Terry also admits that a lot of their scenes are heavily edited to show their bickering more than them getting along with each other.

"If we spend 20 hours being happy and two minutes bickering, if the bickering is funny or interesting, that's going to in!" Terry added. "getting along is boring for Housewives."

The 55-year-old celebrity is also plugging in his new reality show, Botched, with former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dr. Paul Nassif, where he says his wife Heather won't be part of the show.

"You will not see Heather," he says. "Why would she come into our medical practice? She does show up to my office to say hi and give me a little kiss, but she never accompanies me in a clinical setting with my patients."

Botched premiered on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. EST/PST on E! but will be moving to its regular Sunday timeslot at 10 p.m. EST/PST this week.
