Supernatural season 10 has the potential to see the return of any number of characters, but there is one long-lost Winchester brother who may not make an appearance.

Pre-Production Begins On 'Goosebump' Inducing 'Supernatural' Season 10 Premiere, Jensen Ackles To Direct An Episode

The CW drama is only just starting production on the season 10 premiere, but co-executive producer Jim Michaels already feels pretty sure about the upcoming fate of Adam Milligan (Jake Abel), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) deceased/revived/possessed half-brother.

"[Adam is] not currently on our radar," Michaels tweeted on Tuesday.

In other words, don't expect Adam's soul to pop out of Lucifer's Cage any time soon.

The ill-fated son of John Winchester and Kate Milligan died at the hands of vengeful ghouls in season 4's "Jump the Shark," but was revived by the angel Zachariah during season 5's "Point of No Return." Originally used as bait to make Dean accept his role as Michael's meat suite, Adam winds up becoming Michael's vessel instead. Ultimately, Adam's soul was tossed into Lucifer's cage with the devil, Michael, and Sam at the end of season 5.

Considering the state Sam's soul was in after acting as Luci and Michaels chew toy for just one year, it would be interesting to see how Supernatural would handle the return of Adam's soul following over four years in the cage. However, it looks like fans will not have to worry about that anytime soon.

Supernatural will return to The CW on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET. Click the video below to see the final minutes of the season 9 finale, "Do You Believe In Miracles."
