American Horror Story: Freak Show, centered around a troupe of freaks living in Jupiter, Fla. in the 1950s, is filming this summer. The fourth season in the horror anthology series, man of the show's previous stars are returning with new and intriguing characters.

Here is a rundown on everything known so far about the various cast members and their characters in Freak Show:

American Horror Story Season 4: Jessica Lange's Troupe On Its 'Last Legs'?

Jessica Lange:

The unequivocal star of American Horror Story is returning for another domineering role in Freak Show. Lange is slated to play the owner of the troupe of freaks. The actress is reportedly working on her German accent for the part.

Sarah Paulson:

One of the most buzzed-about features of Freak Show has been Paulson playing a two-headed character. The actress tweeted a photo, which, while not accurate to what she will actually look like, is enough to give fans a teaser of how she will appear. She is set to play the characters Bette and Dot.

Angela Bassett:

Bassett is playing a "freak" in the Freak Show that has something to do with heights. The actress, who stood out as Marie Laveau in Coven, told E! Online recently that she was asked if she was afraid of heights, in relation to her upcoming character.

Kathy Bates:

Bates is set to play one of the "freaks" but the specifications of her unique features are not yet out in the open. However, she will have significant relationships with other characters in the cast including...

Evan Peters:

Another "freak" in the Freak Show, Peters' new character may find that it runs in the family. It is suggested that he is playing the son of Bates' character, though it is not clear. The character's physical appearance is not known at this time.

Michael Chiklis:

Chiklis is joining the cast of American Horror Story for Season 4. He is set to play the ex-husband of Bates' character and the father of Peters' character. Adding to the drama between characters, Chiklis' character is married to Bassett's character.

Frances Conroy:

The actress who famously played the quirky Myrtle Snow in Coven is back and playing a "freak." No other details are known currently.

Denis O'Hare:

O'Hare appeared in both the first season as well as Coven, each time having physical deformities. He is back in Freak Show where he will be playing a "collector of freaks" who goes against Lange's character.

These three actresses will be appearing in Freak Show in some capacity, though there are no details about any of their characters.
