Emily Thorne did some terrible things in the name of Revenge, and now the character will need to ditch her alter ego and face up to her recent deeds.

David Clarke (James Tupper) is back, the Flight 197 controversy is over, and Emily (Emily VanCamp) is free to resume her life as Amanda Clarke. Unfortunately, there may be no way for the vengeful woman to return to the person she was before.

"How [David's return] changes the series moving forward is [encapsulated] exactly where Emily and Nolan had that conversation in that sound-booth where she said, 'I don't know who Amanda Clarke is anymore," explained executive producer Aaron Harberts, according to Variety. "She's really got to start confronting who Amanda Clarke is."

While Emily/Amanda's quest to clear her father's name is over with, those she hurt on the way to that goal may still harbor a bit of a grudge. Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), for example (see video below). As Amanda tries to press reset on her life with her father, her more recent past continue to haunt her.

"As we get to know more about Emily/Amanda, she has to start confronting all the things she's left undone and the mess she's left behind, and how willing is she to clean up messes for all the people who've taken such good care of her?" Harberts teased.

Now that viewers have these thought to ponder, they will have to wait until Revenge returns to ABC this fall to find out more.
