As pre-production for season 3 of Arrow is already underway, new details about the next chapter of the CW series have started to surface. The latest development reveals that Oliver Queen will be getting a Hong Kong handler.

The report announced that Real Steel's Karl Yune will be playing the part of Maseo Yamashiro, who used to assist Oliver in Hong Kong. He will feature as part of flashbacks from Oliver's life in the season 3.

Sin City's Devon Aoki, who will be playing Tatsu Yamashiro, a Japanese martial arts expert, was the most recent addition to the cast. Tatsu (whose superhero alter ego is Katana) will be Maseo's wife in the series.

These developments corroborate the recently leaked casting call  for season 3 which sought to fill parts of four new characters in The CW series. Maseo and Tatsu's description seems to correlate with two of the characters, albeit their names are different, mentioned on the list:

"Toshi: Majorly recurring in (at least) the Hong Kong flashbacks, Toshi (late 20s/early 30s) will serve as Oliver's teacher and handler, and eventually become a friend. A well-trained operative, skilled in weaponry, combat and intelligence gathering, he is also a devoted father and husband.

Akiko: Toshi's wife is another of Oliver's Hong Kong caretakers, and is herself highly skilled in martial arts."

The finale, titled Unthinkable, of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on CW.
