Riggle fills the host role that was previously filled by singer Justin Timberlake, actor Samuel L. Jackson and comedian Seth Meyers.

"All I'm going to do is treat it like a big party, and I'm the host," said Riggle in an exclusive interview with ESPN.

"Just because I'm hosting doesn't mean I'm above being a fan," added the comedian who also is an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. "And I'm just going to do my best. I sound like an athlete there, right? Hopefully, it'll work out. That's all I can do."

Rapper Nas will perform songs from his upcoming album "Life is Good" throughout the show.

ESPN also revealed what attendees can expect in their gift bags tonight: tickets to the Broadway play "Mary Poppins," a gift certificate to Uber, an on-demand chauffeur service; the Jetlev R200, the world's first water-propelled jetpack, memberships to gyms, yoga classes, fashion and beauty products and more.

The ESPY will be televised live on Wednesday, July 11, at 9 p.m.
