As the filming for Fast and Furious 7 is almost through, it's time to get a whole sense of what fans can expect from the seventh installment of the action franchise.

Get A Better Look At Vin Diesel's Mean Machine In Fast and Furious 7

Director James Wan will be helming the franchise for the very first time with the seventh in the series and has already been hinting at a wrap -- which is supposed to happen sometime during this month -- as he revealed that he is done filming some of the main actors like Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Tony Jaa.

Despite Paul Walker's sudden death, and the impediments it spurred, the team has pulled itself together quite beautifully -- while still reeling from the tragedy -- and helped complete the film. While there is still no certainty on how Walker's character, Brian O'Connor will be bid adieu on the movie, actors like Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto, Connor's lover in the film, have suggested that it will be "bittersweet."

Cody Walker Officially Signs Up For F&F 8; To Play Jordana Brewster's New Love In The Movie?

Walker's younger brothers Cody and Caleb Walker stepped in to help complete Connor's character arc. Cody has also signed on to play a new character in the Fast and Furious 8.

The movie has been shot in Abu Dhabi and Los Angeles.

Last year, footage was leaked from the film, featuring a very dramatic sequence with Walker, Diesel, Ludacris and Gibson attending a funeral. In the clip Walker, who plays Brian O'Connor, says that this will be the last funeral save one, that of their friend's killer.

The cast features Ludacris as Tej Parker, Gibson as Roman Pearce, Vin Diesel as Dominic Torreti, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortz, Jason Statham as Ian Shaw. Dwayne Johnson, who will play Luke Hobbs, and Kurt Russell are new additions to cast in this instalment.

In Fast and Furious 6, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew helped in taking down Owen Shaw [Evans). It is rumored that the plot for the new film will revolve around how the Toretto and his gang combat Owen's brother Ian Shaw (Statham), who is hellbent on avenging his brother's death

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in last year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

Fast and Furious 7 will release on April 3 2015.
