The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga is peaking out on her sister-in-law and co-star Teresa Giudice's setbacks as the latter prepares for her fraud sentencing and mourns the death of her father-in-law.

Giudice can use all of support she can get and while she and Gorga have had their differences in the past, Gorga confirms that their newfound friendship is going strong in light of the situations Giudice is going through.

She told Star Magazine earlier this week, "Thank God, everything is great between us. As traumatic as their situation is, that's when family puts the nonsense aside to be there for each other. My husband and I are here to support Teresa and Joe. There are things I've decided to let go. I believe in forgiveness."

Gorga added that she has not told her children about Teresa and Joe's legal issues. The couple pleaded guilty to several counts of fraud including mortgage fraud, tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud in March.

Gorga said, "I don't feel the need to explain it to them if they're not asking about it. I don't let my kids watch the show. I believe in sheltering them. I might go overboard with it, but I try my hardest to keep my kids young."

Joe and Teresa's original sentencing date was scheduled for July 8. But in light of the sudden passing of Joe's father, Frank, last month, it has been pushed back to Sept. 23.
