Pop star Katy Perry has opened up on a fresh start that she's taking on in her life, and how she's been able to find herself again.

On Friday, People reported that the Birthday singer is going through her Prismatic tour, and has worked hard to get to where she is. She then dished on her hit Roar that has gone platinum six times.

"A lot of times I write these songs because I need to reinspire myself," she said.

"When I was writing Roar, I was like, 'I need to find my voice again. I need to be heard,'" Perry continued. "I need to find that empowering thunder in my chest again."

The singer is going to be turning 30 in October, but she revealed that she feels "13 on the inside."

"Birthdays are a big thing for me," she said. "We always have a themed party. It's a good excuse for me to bring my friends together and go buck wild."

No matter how much crazy fun she has, Perry said that she just wants to keep following wherever her heart takes her.

"I just want to be able to continue to stay self-aware and as unaffected as possible," she said. "I just want to stay authentic and keep dreaming my dreams."

A report from Sugarscape mentioned that Perry has her own special way of attracting men.

"I don't stay single for long," the pop star told Cosmopolitan. "I carry a lot of rose quartz, which attracts the male. Maybe I need to calm it down with the amethyst."
