Carrie Fisher's Daughter To Join The Cast?

Director and actor Kevin Smith made a visit to the Star Wars set in Abu Dhabi. He then went to the Neuchatel International Film Festival in Switzerland where he opened up on what he saw during his visit although he had to remain coy.

Two Newcomers Join The Cast

"So we go to the set, and they're actually shooting- and this is what I can't tell you what they were shooting- but what I saw I absolutely loved," Smith said. "It was tactile; it wasn't a series of f---ing green and blue screens in which later on digital characters would be added. It was there; it was happening."

Despite signing a nondisclosure agreement that restricts him from revealing specific details about the movie, Smith went on about the vivid and realistic experience of watching what was being filmed.

"I saw uniforms; I saw artillery that I haven't seen since I was a kid," he said. "I saw them shooting an actual sequence in a set that is real- I walked across the set; there were explosions- and it looked like a shot right out of a f---ing Star Wars movie."

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
