Hawaii Five-0's Max Bergman will no longer be Five-0's only ME when the series returns for season 5.

The socially awkward genius will soon share his knowledge with a new trainee.

"Max is going to be training a young female medical examiner," said executive producer Peter Lenkov, according to TV Guide. "It'll be somebody who will be there at crime scenes and be a voice in the ME's office."

Danny's Fugitive Brother To Return On Season 5 Of 'Hawaii Five-0'

Max (Masi Oka) has always been a reliable member of Steve McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) team, and hopefully his new colleague will be able to show the same loyalty (see the video below). It takes a special type of doctor to go along with Five-0's complicated schemes.

The trainee ME won't be the only new member on the task force, however. With Catherin Rollins busy in Afghanistan, Lou Grover (Chi McBride) will take her place following his forced retirement from the SWAT team.

"Grover's just another great addition to the team - we got to see some of his budding relationships with the other members (spearfishing with Chin, Danny comforting him when his daughter was kidnapped) - but we really spent a lot of last season building up the relationship between McGarrett and Grover," Lenkov told the Honolulu Pulse. "We're looking forward to exploring his dynamic with the whole team."
