Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have been rumored to be dating, and now it seems that the actress is making an impression on her alleged boyfriend's mother.

On Saturday, Daily Bhaskar said that the rumored couple had dinner together where Kapoor's mother, Neetu, came along as well. While some may have speculated how  the encounter went, it seems that it was an enjoyable time.

"Recently Ranbir was spotted at a fancy South Mumbai restaurant with Katrina, his mom Neetu and best friend Ayan Mukherjee," a source said. "The four were sitting on one table and were having a fun time with some delicious food."

This dinner date could have been a way to make up for a time when Kapoor's mother was supposed to spend time with her son and his rumored girlfriend in South Africa. A report from DNA India mentioned that Neetu turned down the offer to spend time with her husband, Rishi.

"Ranbir had asked his mother to join him for a couple of weeks on location because he hadn't spent time with her from a long time, but she declined the offer," a source said. "Neetu and Rishi have just returned from a month-long holiday in the US and she chose to join him again in Shimla for a quiet holiday."

The insider then revealed that Kapoor's mother is "very fond" of Kaif and "approves of her son's choice." Neetu apparently went to Shimla with her husband just so they could have some time for themselves.
