Cristiano Ronaldo may have won an ESPY award at last night's sports ceremony, but a new critic is saying that Ronaldo himself cost Portugal wins in the World Cup in Brazil in June.

Last night at the ESPN award ceremony, Ronaldo won the award for Best International Athlete. Former AC Milan midfielder Zvonimir Boban recently said that Ronaldo loves himself too much.

"Ronaldo is an amazing player and he showed that again in Brazil, even if he missed a number of chances," Boban said. "But his biggest flaw is the way he looks at himself and the team."

Ronaldo plays for team Real Madrid during the season. Boban made his point by saying that when Ronaldo scored in Champions League final, he "celebrated like he was insane." For Boban that was the "ultimate proof that he loves himself." He continued to say that the headlines should be about Ronaldo's team and not just him.

"The same thing happened with Portugal in Brazil. There was no order or discipline," he said about Ronaldo. Boban continued to say that all of the Portugal players were playing their own game, instead of a team game. They were also, according to the former player, more concerned with their "hair and tattoos."

To Boban, it was as if Portugal wanted to show there was more to the team than just superstar Ronaldo. "It's a sad thing that a team loses its identity because of an unbalanced captain, both for Ronaldo and for an entire generation."

Ronaldo has not responded to Boban's comments.
