After revealing the devastating news that his grandmother had passed earlier this week on his social media accounts, Cristiano Ronaldo is taking it easy with his girlfriend Irina Shayk.

Ronaldo posted a sweet photo of Shayk and himself in front of a helicopter on July 11 that was captioned "Morning ride." Shayk is wearing flip-flops and a black tank with her hair down and straight, while Ronaldo is donning a grey t-shirt with white shorts and a backwards hat.

On July 8 through Twitter, Ronaldo had revealed the sad news that his beloved grandmother had died. Ronaldo wrote "Avó, estás sempre no meu coração. Descanse em paz, beijos de todos os netos." According to Goal.com, that translates into "Grandmother, you will always be in my heart. Rest in peace. Kisses from all your grandchildren." He attached the sentiment with a personal picture of him, his grandmother and his son. Ronaldo's grandmother Filomena Aveira reportedly died soon after Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup soccer tournament in Brazil.

After Ronaldo's team lost in Brazil during the World Cup, the Real Madrid player took a vacation in Greece before meeting up with Shayk on the beach.

The couple has to take all the time together they can before Shayk has to go back to promoting her new film Hercules, co-starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. The film opens on July 25.
