She revealed the news via Instagram Sunday and vowed to fans that she would explain what caused the delay.

Minaj shared a picture along with the caption, "My darlingz, I've pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4. I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu"

Nicki Minaj Might Be Done Rocking Wigs

In the picture she posted, Minaj is facing the camera. She's standing up with her hand on her hip and rocking a bikini that she implies is her workout gear. She's standing on a pink mat and hand weights are just feet away from her while an large pink aerobics ball sits on the other side. This is a different look compared to the original cover art for the song that featured the backside of the Pills N Potions rapper bending over.

Anaconda is slated to be Minaj's second single from her highly anticipated upcoming album The Pink Print.

But to make sure fans didn't forget about the first picture that sparked lots of controversy, she uploaded a series of pictures fans created that featured Minaj's butt picture in some pretty awkward places.

The first was a Lion King inspired picture in which Rafiki is holding up Minaj instead of baby Simba. She added the caption, "IG has no chill."

She added another that showed Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants licking and touching her butt. The Did It On Em rapper wrote, "I'm sad."
