Despite early reports that Cristiano Ronaldo was teaming up with Lil Wayne and Young Money, the Real Madrid star took to his Twitter to deny any management changes.

On Saturday, Ronaldo tweeted "There have been news about changes on my management team - it's all false, and I can assure the team is - and will be - the same."

This came after TMZ reported last week that Lil Wayne was starting his own sports management company with Ronaldo as the first client. According to the website, Lil Wayne "has been wanting to get into the sports management game for a while and has had his sights set on the Team Portugal stud, not just because he's a huge sports star, but because they're friends."

Despite Ronaldo's recent tweet, Young Money told TMZ Monday that they are working with the soccer player. Ronaldo's tweet is true because no one on his team is losing their job, but "he's just adding Young Money to handle branding, marketing and other sports management issues in the United States."

A rep for Young Money told the site that in fact Ronaldo and Lil Wayne "are a hundred percent" working together.

Ronaldo doesn't usually comment on rumors, so it was surprising that he tweeted about this one. Ronaldo is currently in Dallas with Real Madrid to play in the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup at the Cotton Bowl today.
