Major Crimes is headed for its summer finale although the show will be back at some point later this year to finish its third season, and it was already renewed for a fourth season as well.

However, since this episode is going to be the last episode people see for a little while, they may still want to leave fans with a cliffhanger, or something of that ilk. On Tuesday, Carter Matt reported on what to expect from the next episode of Major Crimes.

In this episode, entitled "Zoo Story," a turf war is going to emerge between Major Crimes and the Special Operations Bureau after several young women disappear from a popular night club. In recent episodes, the Special Operations Bureau, and Fritz Howard, have become more prominent, leading some to even speculate about a spinoff. Speaking of Howard, he is going to still be on the mend in this episode, and meanwhile Rusty's mom will continue to struggle with the law and staying sober. Of course, Rusty has been living with Sharon Raydor, head of the Major Crimes Unit, and main character of the show.

'Sweet Revenge' & A Possible Spinoff In Episode Of Major Crimes

While this battle between these two factions of the LAPD will likely lead to plenty of tension and drama, in the end one assumes they will set aside their differences to solve the case, unless Major Crimes wants to send people into the fall on a down note. Major Crimes airs on Monday nights on TNT.
