Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and his FBI crew will enter the world of spares and strikes as they work to close a case in season 7.

The series is currently filming pieces of two separate episodes, but viewers can expect Agent Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) team to take on the ten-pins in either "The Graybar Hotel" or "Orange Blossom Ice Cream."

Set for a truncated seventh season, The Mentalist is not slated to appear with the rest of CBS' fall programs. When the Jane, Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), Cho, Agent Michelle Vega (Josie Loren), and Abbott do return, they will kick of the season with "Nothing But Blue Skies." After the premiere, Jane will tackle "The Graybar Hotel" case before heading overseas with Tuney to partner with the CIA and cross baths with an old criminal.
