Justin Bieber took to his Twitter to react to the death of Usher's stepson, Kile Glover. After being announced brain dead by doctors two weeks ago, the parents decided to pull the plug on the young boy's life support on Saturday, July 21. Other celebrities have taken to the social media site to offer prayers and condolences as well.
"RIP KILE" Bieber posted on Twitter Saturday afternoon. As a close friend of Usher, Bieber was among the first stars to express his sympathy to the family.
Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, follwed soon after with a tweet to Usher for the lost of his stepson, Kile.
"My prayers go out to ryan glover and tameka raymond. rip kile."
Actress, Taraji P. Henson also offered the support of prayer in the time of mourning."RT @djdnice: Wow. I'm saddened over the news of Kile's passing.#RIPKile @TamekaRaymond, Ryan, & Usher, I pray for you all."
"My deepest condolences go out to Tameka Raymond, Usher and the family for the loss of Kile Glover #RIPKile. Life is not fair sometimes," Adam Irigoyen of the Disney Channel show, "Shake It Up," posted.
Usher's 11 year old son was declared brain dead after a tragic accident on July 8 which saw him hit in the head by a jet ski.
Kile Glover, the son of Usher's estranged wife Tameka Foster, was playing with a friend on an inner tube on Law Lanier in Atlanta, Ga on July 8 when a jet ski drove straight into them. Glover was hit in the head and knocked immediately unconscious. He was rescued from the river and airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.
Glover's friend was also hit and suffered a broken arm and lacerations to her head. She was also airlifted to the hospital but her condition was not thought to be as serious as Glover's.
According to TMZ sources, Glover had not experienced any brain activity since he was brought into the hospital, and doctors were extremely worried for him.
Despite Usher's problems with Tameka Foster, Usher reportedly made sure a chartered airplane was immediately made available to her so she could fly in to be close to her son when the tragedy happened earlier this month.
Celebrities had tweeted for Glover's recovery. Fantasia tweeted, "Everyone please pray for Usher and Tameka's son! This is the time they really need your prayers."
Russell Simmons tweeted, "praying Usher and Tameka's son is ok..."
Our condolences are with the family.
