With the super villain team-up in the Sinister Six happening, it seems like someone who has recently died in the Spider-Man franchise could be making another appearance in the 2016 movie.

Will A Spider-Man Villain Return To Summon The 'Sinister Six?'

With the release of a new bonus feature for the DVD for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sony used the release to show off some of their set-up for the Sinister Six. It seems like villains like Green Goblin (both versions), Electro, Venom, Sandman, Rhino, Doc Ock and the Lizard flash by in snippets of familiar footage to tease who will join the team. The footage contained clips from both the newer films and the Sam Raimi trilogy.

In an image that came with the feature, it shows Spider-Man director Marc Webb looking at Sinister Six concept art. While the Vulture wings and Doctor Octopus tentacles were teased during Amazing Spider-Man 2, the interesting addition was the frozen head of Normon Osborn, portrayed by Chris Cooper in the film, in what seems to be something to bring back the deceased billionaire.

Release Date For 'Sinister Six' Announced While 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3' Pushed Back

Supposedly, there was a deleted scene that showed Osborn's head being put there, but as of now, there is no knowledge of why he is there and what it means for future movies. A best guess could be that Osborn returns in some form to the Sinister Six as their benefactor, after Doctor Octopus brings them all together.

It will be interesting as the release date gets closer, to see what villains will show up.

Sinister Six opens in theaters on November 11, 2016 with Drew Goddard directing.
