Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans enjoyed a weekend away with her family as she headed to New York City to film MTV's Ask the Moms special.

"Having fun up north," tweeted Evans Saturday as she shared a few pics of her and boyfriend Nathan Griffith all dressed up, Evans wearing a floral print skirt and Griffith in a black shirt and black tie.

Evans, who gave birth to her second son Kaiser on June 29, claimed she was "feeling quite sexy" as she took some selfies in their hotel room.

Later in the day the couple, along with Evans' mother Barbara, took Evans' five-year-old son Jace to look at toys. "The family is getting our fat on," declared the reality star as she snapped a selfie in front of the candy counter.

While Saturday was filled with family fun, Sunday was all about the show as Evans headed to the set.

That morning she teased some behind-the-scenes fun on Twitter as she met up with her Teen Mom costars, who all came from different parts of the country for the exclusive interview.

The busy weekend sure took its toll on the current student and mother of two. "Filming all day yesterday and then all day today," tweeted Evans on Sunday evening, "And then trying to get homework finished before 12am tonight was a challenge!"

Teen Mom 2 continues on MTV with new episodes on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
