The Electric Zoo Festival is this weekend on Randall's Island, featuring dance music's best DJs and drugs dogs.

The zookeepers will be watching closely this year. The ticket holders are being forced to watch an informative video about the pressing confers on MDMA, otherwise known as Ecstasy. The drug caused the death of two attendees of the festival last year, which has resulted in an amped security staff for this year's festival, reports the New York Daily News.

Mike Bindra and Laura De Palma are the couple that run the festival. Last year's incident caused the third day to be cancelled due to the deaths of two festival goers. Mr. Bindra spoke to The New York Times about the drugs, "It's unprecedented, I hope at some point the people at these shows realize that what they're putting in their mouths can actually kill them." Within the past two months the paper also noted more deaths at festivals like the Electric Zoo.

Electric Zoo Update: 31 Arrested for Sexual Assault of 16-year-old; New Details about Drug-Related Deaths

New York Night Life posted a fiery tweet about the subject, "How about a festival with zero doctors on hand for ODs? Maybe knowing nobody will save you may get people to think twice about taking drugs." This bold stance received some backlash from other people, with the account posting "by design, it's going to be safer than ever to take drugs at Electric Zoo because so many people will be there to help."

It remains to be seen if more security will help or hinder the process of keeping people safe at the Electric Zoo.
