A few months ago it looked like Juan Pablo Galavis and girlfriend Nikki Ferrell would be making an appearance on VH1's Couples Therapy. While nothing was confirmed at the time, the news has officially gone public.

Juan Pablo Galavis Vacation Theft

People announced on Monday that the former stars of ABC's The Bachelor have formally signed on for the reality series' fifth season.

The couple are currently away on vacation, conveniently tucked away in Bali while the media puts a spotlight on their new television gig.

It seems that while the couple has presented a united front during the course of their relationship, it's possible personal problems or even media scrutiny has caused a great deal of strain.

"I was criticized a lot for not saying 'I love you' to Nikki," explained Galavis. "In the Venezuelan community, it means something. I mean, to propose to someone, it means something. Am I going to say 'I love you' to Nikki? I don't know yet."

Galavis made waves on ABC during the season finale of The Bachelor when he offered Ferrell the final roles without an "I love you" or an offer of marriage. Maintaining he wanted to take things slow, Ferrell chose to stand by her guy.

Even though Galavis may not be sure of his love just yet, People revealed that Ferrell has often told the former soccer player that she loves him. "I don't expect him to say it back when I say it," admitted Ferrell, "Maybe one day, he will."

Couples Therapy returns to VH1 for its fifth season on September 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
