Revenge's Jack Porter will be a different man when he returns to the Hamptons for season 4.

Jack (Nick Wechsler)  will step out from behind the bar in into a uniform following his close shave with the law. The longtime bartender will swap his dishrag for a police badge in a drastic career change.

"The audience will be knocked out by what he has done between seasons," said showrunner Sunil Nayar, according to TV Line.

Although it is unknown why Jack will choose to shake up his life, the change will manifest as soon as the series returns this fall.

"You'll have an idea how Jack is different in the very first scene he's in. I can tell you he will be spending less time behind the bar than before," Sullivan told EmilyThorne.org. "He's seen a lot. He's learned a lot. He wants to take control of his life and he has in a cool and sexy way."

Hopefully he won't have to arrest any of his murderous friends.
