There are some new photos out showing new alliances, new relationships, and new mayhem on The Originals when it returns to The CW for its second season this fall.

Director Boasts 'Epic' Script For Upcoming Episode Of 'The Originals' 

The pictures are from the season's first episode, entitled Rebirth, and give new insight into what the premiere will hold. Featured on TV Fanatic Thursday, the images showed some one on one time with new parents Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). Still reeling from having to give up baby Hope, the pair are entering unchartered territory.

Hayley will be turning to the father of her child this season to help deal with her new status as a hybrid, which has given way to all new rage and issues when it comes to impulse-control.

Another photo revealed that Klaus will be going to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to make peace, and perhaps even forge a renewed alliance against the werewolves that have seized control of New Orleans. Of course, that won't come without a price and some conflict may be arising as Marcel tries to rebuild his army.

Of course, The Originals would not be The Originals without a brooding Klaus, and as one photo showed there will be no shortage of the character's signature, menacing look as he plans to make the city safe for the return of his child.

The Originals returns to The CW for a second season on a new night Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
