The Bold and the Beautiful is continuing a tradition of giving those who have appeared on CBS' reality competition series Big Brother a chance to appear on the soap opera.

Big Brother 16 evicted houseguest Donny Thompson, who left the house August 28, was awarded a special prize after his eviction-a special guest role on The Bold and the Beautiful. Host Julie Chen told him after his eviction that the soap had contacted the reality show about having him for a guest spot, something he appears to be taking them up on after his obligation to the reality show ends.

What sort of role he may have on the show is unconfirmed, though he won't be able to begin filming until after the Big Brother finale airs September 24-meaning he could appear on episodes of the soap as early as November, depending on the show's turnaround time between filming and airing episodes.

Thompson isn't the only Big Brother cast member to appear on the soap however. Big Brother 13 winner Rachel Reilly, as well her sister, Elissa Slater from Big Brother 15, and Reilly's husband, Brendan Villegas (also from Big Brother 12 & 13) appeared in episodes of the show in October 2013, alongside season 15's Howard Overby.

All four were part of scenes at the show's Bikini Bar, a hangout spot for characters, with Overby portraying a DJ, Villegas a bartender, and Reilly and Slater acted as waitresses. Reilly has made occasional appearances at the bar when the show films scenes there since, alongside her husband, who has continued with a speaking role at various times.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
